Being a specialist of high quality leather upholstered furniture is a responsibility. Grange & Woodhouse is a name synonymous with high quality and it maintains that responsibility with aplomb. It is necessary, in order to achieve these quality standards, to be stringently demanding about minute details - at Grange & Woodhouse we insist upon it - with Passion!

The collection of furniture you find within our store is unique.

What could be more challenging? The creation of unique new styles from the established tradition of the past. Sophistication, with many differing and exciting features. Imitation is the best flatery of all. Our name is being used and our designs are being copied ... but we know (as you do) ... there is nothing quite like the original!

Every product is designed and constructed exclusively for our unique showroom so anything else is second best.

Aniline Full Grain
The most expensive finish, with the dye only being lightly impregnated and no artificial finish, some scars and shade variation may be visible. Very soft, natural and beautiful feel. This type of leather has less resistance to soiling and will not be suitable for all households.

Aniline Nubuck
Very Soft feel. It will soil with use, and it's properties make it less easy to clean. It requires care to avoid stains, but it's well-worn appearance is appreciated and indeed sought after by many.

Colour Coated
Soft, natural, easy to maintain as a light protective coating is applied. Slightly less-soft and natural looking than full aniline leathers, bit for some a more affordable and practical choice.

Colour Coated Standard
Uniform colour with a thicker surface coating. Easily maintained. This type of leather is very easy to look after and probably the most popular choice.

Antique
A hand-finished leather with the appearance of well worn hide. In time, shading will increase and show more variation.

Colour Coated Split
This is usually derived from the bottom layer of the hide. As a word of caution, wherever you buy, do not buy splits on wearing parts!
